Bio

Wilder Valencia Rondón was born in San Andrés, Santander, Colombia, and has spent most of his life in Bucaramanga, Colombia. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Universidad de San Buenaventura in Bogotá, Colombia, and his M.A. in Philosophy from Universidad Industrial de Santander. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis on Inclusion and School Coexistence at the University of Technology and Education (UTE) in Miami, Florida.

He worked for twelve years with Colombia’s Ministry of Education as a high school teacher of philosophy, ethics and social sciences, where he developed a strong commitment to inclusive education and critical pedagogy. His professional experience bridges philosophy, education and language teaching, with a particular focus on student-centered learning environments.

Wilder is currently also a Spanish instructor at the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, where he teaches undergraduate Spanish courses and integrates communicative and inclusive approaches into his classroom practice.
