Shobhit Aggarwal graduated with a Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services (MIIPS) in December 2022. Just a few months later, he began working at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer within the .

Time in the MIIPS Program

Throughout his time in the MIIPS program, Shobhit enjoyed spending time with his cohort. He and his peers collaborated in and outside the classroom, becoming close friends along the way. Shobhit credits these friendships with enriching his MIIPS experience because he could learn from his peers in so many ways through their professional, cultural, and personal experiences.

Working with students from different backgrounds, especially those outside his domain of engineering, was frustrating at first because they were from work environments that he was not used to. However, this offered him the opportunity to integrate knowledge and learn more about the disciplines of design and business through the eyes of his classmates.

Working as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV

Before joining MIIPS, Shobhit earned a degree in Production and Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. His background in supply chain and manufacturing made the CMU Manufacturing Institute a perfect fit for him, as it provided an opportunity to combine his MIIPS degree with the knowledge he gained during his undergraduate studies.

In his day-to-day work, Shobhit focuses on developing new technologies and conducting research. He also engages in workforce development outreach. His role allows him to leverage his expertise in robotics to design new courses for high school students and collaborate with industry partners.

Through his job, Shobhit can innovate at every level within both the industry and academia in his field. This experience offers him the chance to contribute to the community and utilize university resources effectively.
