Auld Lang Syne Goes Underground

Each year, CMU rings in the New Year with a rendition of "Auld Lang Syne." This year, faculty and students involved with and Activated Anamorphs from the College of Fine Arts, , the BXA Intercollege Degree Programs and brought graduate student Jacob Randall Holmes' arrangement to life. The performance was filmed during the "" festival, hundreds of feet below the surface in a limestone mine in Brady's Bend, Armstrong County.

One Song, Many Versions

2017

The Tartan Tuba Band performed an original arrangement of "Auld Lang Syne," by Assistant Teaching Professor Lance LaDuke.

2016

Ujjal Bhattacharya, then a double math and music major at Carnegie Mellon, arranged and performed "Auld Lang Syne" on marimba in the Kraus Campo on CMU’s campus.

2015

The CMU Treblemakers helped us ring in the new year.
