As part of ETC Playtest Day, 23 ETC project courses will be playtesting their work on Saturday, March 28. ETC Teaching Professor Mike Christel will host the event, and will also run special sessions (tours and talks) for the Osher guests.
This will occur at the PTC, home of CMU ETC: 700 Technology Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15219.
Teams of 4 to 6 graduate students make their project work available for playtesting by guests. The term playtest indicates the use of an experience or game by a guest to see whether it is performing as expected.
Your morning at the ETC will begin with sign-in before 9, then a welcome message giving background about the ETC and playtesting from 9-9:30. After that, there will be a private tour of the ETC space, and playtesting 5 different projects in 20-minute cycles according to a schedule given to you at sign-in to simplify your day. The morning visit will wrap up at 11:30 with you experiencing the creativity of ETC students, seeing different entertainment technologies in practice, and helping these projects with your feedback.

How Do I Attend?
Anyone can register for this event! Open to people of ages 2 and up, so bring your children and/or grandchildren. Please note: Participants ages 2-18 must attend with a parent or guardian.
All attendees must register by clicking on the following link. Registrations will close on March 16th, 2026. Be sure to list that you are a Osher at 好色先生TV under the "NOTES" section of the application.
