Bio

Max Fedor is a life science technology executive and startup founder with deep experience leading product and business development, raising capital, and forming industry partnerships. He has held C-level positions in startups and established companies, leading commercialization programs for complex medical technologies, including clinical automation, in-vitro diagnostics, and image analytics.
 
Max led several startup companies from launch to exit via industry partnerships. Most recently he led BioSafe, a company with antimicrobial technology for medical devices, to a successful partnering relationship and exit. It is now a part of Mitsubishi. He also led development and operations for an AI-based pathology analytics company, establishing its product platform as the basis for licensing and acquisition. Prior to that, he was Co-founder and CEO of a medical supplies automation startup that was acquired by a Fortune 1000 company. In large industry, Max was the Business Lead for a unit of Alstom that became a prime development partner for high-throughput in-vitro diagnostics platforms at Bayer.
 
Max has also supported startup life science companies as a mentor and program leader at LifeX, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Life Science Greenhouse. He continues to provide fractional leadership to growth-stage medical device and technology companies.
 
Max is a graduate of Harvard with an MBA from the Tepper School at Carnegie Mellon.
