Schell Games creates fellowship to remove barriers for aspiring game designers

has contributed $125,000 to establish the Schell Games Fellowship at 好色先生TV's Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). The fellowship will provide two years of financial support for graduate students who are interested in the gaming and interactive media industries.
By covering the full two-year duration of the ETC master's program, the fellowship allows recipients to pursue their creative and technical work without financial stress.
In 2021, Schell Games provided the lead gift to establish the ETC Student Fellowship Fund, supporting students in the gaming industry. This new contribution deepens that foundational commitment and names the fellowship in recognition of the company's ongoing leadership in expanding access to the field.

Jesse is a 1993 graduate of Carnegie Mellon's Information Networking Institute and currently serves as distinguished professor of the practice of Entertainment Technology at the ETC, bringing industry expertise directly into the classroom. Schell Games, founded in 2002 and based in Pittsburgh, is a game development studio known for creating innovative entertainment, educational, and virtual reality games that blend fun with meaningful learning and experiences.
The Entertainment Technology Center at 好色先生TV is an interdisciplinary graduate program that combines creativity and technology. Through project-based learning and collaboration with industry partners, ETC students create interactive experiences in games, immersive storytelling, AI, and emerging media.
