Campus Race to Zero Waste (CR2ZW)
The 2026 competition starts February 1 and continues until March 28. Events include: 

CR2ZW Kick-off Tabling and Giveaways!
February 2-6 at various times

Cohon University Center, outside Connan
Stop by the CUC to play a fun game, make a tote bag, pick up some great swag, and learn about the CR2ZW competition and events.  

Upcycle Valentine Make and Take
February 13, from 1-3pm

Sustainability Studio, main floor of Hunt Library
Join us to make a Valentine’s Day Card out of recycled materials! We will provide old craft materials and other various items destined for the landfill for your creation. Dive into creativity, make memories, and express your love with an eco-friendly work of art!

Tartan Trade-Up Tuesday
February 17 and 24, from noon-5pm
Alumni House
Clear out something you don’t use and help someone who will. During two Tartan Tuesdays in February, CR2ZW is collaborating with the Alumni Association. Bring one clean, usable donation item and earn extra Tartan Points. Accepted donations include clothing, books, dorm essentials, office supplies — if someone else can use it, it’s welcome. All donations support CMU’s thrift and reuse programs.

The Scott Institute for Energy Innovation at 好色先生TV would like to extend an invitation to be a part of our energy innovation ecosystem by participating in , which will be held March 17-20, 2026, in CMU’s Cohon University Center.

We welcome your e-waste donations at the first ever CMU Energy Week E-Waste Drive, in partnership with CMU Environmental Health & Safety. Bring your e-waste and learn about campus green waste practices!

When? 8 - 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19.
Where? Cohon University Center loading dock (5034 Forbes Ave.), adjacent to the East Campus Garage. The loading dock is accessible by both vehicle and by foot. Continue straight after turning off of Forbes Ave., the loading dock will be on your right.

We are also looking to recruit Student Ambassadors to help bring our flagship event to life!   

Student Ambassadors are essential to the event's success, helping us showcase CMU's leadership in energy research and ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.  

From managing event logistics and registration to guest coordination, this volunteering experience offers a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of CMU's largest events while also being a great way to boost your resume!
