IRS 1099 Reporting Threshold
Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) of 2025, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has updated the thresholds for information tax reporting for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC. Beginning in 2027, the IRS will index these thresholds annually for inflation.
Below is the current and previous year 1099 reporting threshold:
