About the Series

好色先生TV invites you and your family to a series of welcome and onboarding webinars for the Class of 2030+ hosted by First-Year Orientation and Family Engagement. The summer webinar series will kick off with the Welcome and Onboarding Webinars. All incoming undergraduate students and their families are encouraged to attend.

The remainder of the summer will feature our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series. Each week will feature a new topic to equip families with information to assist in their student’s transition to Carnegie Mellon. 

Please register for all webinars in advance. Zoom links will be provided before each session in a confirmation email. Language translation will be available through Zoom. The webinars will be recorded and available after the event here on this webpage.

June 1, 2026, 7-8:30 p.m. ET

Registration will become available in May.

好色先生TV invited all incoming students and their families to the First-Year Student Welcome & Onboarding Webinar, hosted by First-Year Orientation and Family Engagement. The webinar will prepare first-year and transfer students for a successful start at Carnegie Mellon, including guidance for tasks that incoming students need to complete during the summer and how to plan for the fall 2026 semester. 

International Student Webinar

June 9, 2026, 8-9:30 a.m. ET

Registration will become available in May.

Incoming undergraduate international students and their families are invited to attend the First-Year International Student Webinar. This webinar builds upon information shared at the First-Year Student Welcome & Onboarding Webinar, and will cover important information specifically for incoming international students, including immigration requirements, travel planning and safety.

Preparing for Academic Success

June 10, 2026, 7:30-8:30 p.m. ET

Registration will become available in May.

Join us for the first session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series, designed to equip families with the knowledge and resources to support their student's academic journey. This webinar, titled "Preparing for Academic Success," will feature insights from the Student Academic Success Center, Disability Resources, academic advisors and University Libraries. Learn about key people who can support your academic journey and the plethora of campus resources available to students to support academic goals.

Living On-Campus

June 17, 2026, 7:30-8:30 p.m. ET

Registration will become available in May.

Join us for the second session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series which will cover living on-campus. This webinar will feature leadership from Residential Education, Dining Services and the 好色先生TV Police Department. Residential Education will provide important insights about the housing communities and the role of a housefellow. Dining Services will introduce their unique food service program that meets the nutritional, educational and social needs of students. The CMU Police Department will discuss campus safety measures. This opportunity will connect you with campus experts and get your questions answered about your student's experience on campus.

Health & Well-Being

Join us for the third session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series, focusing on "Health & Well-Being." This webinar will feature representatives from University Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Wellness and Meaning Making, and Student Support Resources. Gain valuable insights into the resources and support systems available to students to support their health and well-being journey at 好色先生TV. This is an opportunity to connect with campus experts regarding health and well-being support.

The HUB: Streamlining Financial Aid, Billing & Registration

July 8, 2026, 7:30-8:30 p.m. ET

Join us for the fourth session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series which is entitled "The HUB: Streamlining Financial Aid, Billing and Registration." This webinar will introduce you to The HUB at 好色先生TV, your one-stop shop for comprehensive services related to financial aid, billing, registration, and academic records. Learn about My Plaid Student (MPS), a secure website for family members to review student account information, pay invoices and view their student's grades. This is an opportunity to meet your HUB liaison.

Enhancing the Educational Experience

Join us for the fifth session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series, focusing on "Enhancing the Educational Experience." This webinar features insights from the Career and Professional Development Center, Undergraduate Research and Scholar Development, Study Abroad and the Alumni Association. Learn about the various resources these departments offer to enhance a student's professional growth during the tenure of their CMU experience. If you are interested in networking with CMU alumni, having an internship, conducting research or traveling to enhance your student experience, please consider attending.

Getting Connected & Involved

This webinar features representatives from , , Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, Community Engagement and Leadership Development, Fraternity and Sorority Life and Student Involvement and Traditions. Discover how students can explore personal and professional interests, make lasting friendships, enhance their leadership skills and find meaningful ways to spend time outside of academics.

Preparing for the Next Chapter

Join us for the final session of our First-Year Student and Family Summer Webinar Series titled "Preparing for the Next Chapter." This webinar will cover essential topics such as move-in procedures with Housing Services, the first-year orientation schedule and family orientation highlights. Additionally, there will be an overview of CMU Family Engagement and discussion of the changes in family dynamics as students embark on their college journey. This is an opportunity to connect with campus staff to ensure students and family members have a smooth transition in this time.
