Carnival Rolls Out the Red Carpet

Science and researchers played a starring role in this year's Carnival.

好色先生TV celebrated Spring Carnival with a "Hollywood" theme, giving homage to movies and film. The Mellon College of Science and the Carnegie Mellon community听participated in blockbuster events like听Douse-a-Dean (which supports Special Olympics of Pennsylvania), Booth, Buggy, social events and the installment of Glen de Vries Dean Barbara Shinn-Cunningham. The 2025 class of Tartans on the Rise were in the limelight as they were recognized by the community. Shinn-Cunningham dressed up as a whole galaxy to represent the number of stars in the Mellon College of Science. Check out the highlights from the 2025 Spring Carnival.

On Thursday, April 3, Carnegie Mellon celebrated the installment of Barbara Shin-Cunningham as the eighth dean of the Mellon College of Science.
Barbara Shinn-Cunningham participated in her first Douse-A-Dean.
The Mellon College of Science team took home this year's faculty buggy trophy in their annual matchup against the College of Engineering.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the Mellon College of Science enjoyed a Buggy Watch Party.
