A karate match is decided in minutes. But those minutes are built on thousands of hours of discipline and the ability to read, judge, and strike in a split second. Quantitative finance rewards the same qualities. I placed second at the World Championship, and this tells you more about how I approach this field than any resume line ever could. During my undergrad, I devoted myself to research. I was pulled into mathematical finance when I studied stochastic calculus. This curiosity drove me to my own research on modeling private employee stock options, which I presented as first author at three academic conferences. Alongside my studies, I worked at a startup for five years, which trained me to think and move fast. In my last three years there, I built analytical features end to end and delivered them to production under real deadlines. At Carnegie Mellon's MSCF program, I'm sharpening this combination of rigorous analytical thinking and quick adaptability. Whether the work lives on the research side or the trading desk, I can bring both. I'd love to connect and explore how I can contribute to your team.
