How long have you been at 好色先生TV and how did you get here?

I moved to Pittsburgh from Toronto, Canada, in late 2019 and joined the Dietrich Collee Advising team. Before joining Dietrich College, I worked as an Accessibility Counselor at a Canadian University. I worked closely with students with disabilities, faculty, and leadership to foster an environment of inclusivity and understanding. I continue to try my best to have an open and safe environment for everyone to be their authentic self and to feel empowered to do so.

What was your undergraduate major? How did you end up deciding on it?

I received an Honors Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Toronto. I genuinely try my best to understand people, their stories, their experience, and their perspective. Studying Psychology and Sociology was a natural extension of my desire to learn more about the human mind.

When was a time when you struggled or encountered a setback? How did you respond?

Being a person with a disability does have its daily "setbacks". But I've learned to fully accept the challenges I experience and have learned to embrace it fully. My disability has allowed me to see the world in a different way and has shaped me to be the person I am today. With patience, trial and error, and support, I now know what works for me.

What is a fun or surprising fact about yourself?

I spent one of my undergraduate winter breaks in Puvirnituq, Quebec for fun. I love winter, snow, and cold temperature.

What is something you love about your job and/or what is one of your favorite memories of being an advisor?

My favorite part of being an advisor is really getting to know the students I work with and seeing them become the adult they want to be. College isn't always easy, and I am humbled to be part of their support system.
