By combining AI strategy, implementation, and governance, the curriculum emphasizes practical execution, responsible oversight, and organizational alignment. Students will gain experience turning AI initiatives into measurable impact while addressing the ethical, operational, and strategic implications of deploying AI at scale.
Course Descriptions
An introduction to the practical aspects of managing AI throughout its lifecycle, from scoping to deployment, all while developing a systems-thinking mindset to navigate complexity effectively.Ìý
By the end of this course, students will know how to answer questions like:
- What are the key components of the AI system lifecycle?
- What types of business problems are suited for AI and how do we scope them?
- Should you build or buy? Ìý
- What are the core data challenges to be aware of in AI?
- What are the most frequently used AI models?
- How do you scale and sustain your AI solution? Ìý
Course Project
Students will demonstrate their management approach for an organizational challenge based on a hypothetical, industry-based scenario.
This course introduces students to the ethical considerations of AI implementation, covering risk mitigation strategies, test and evaluation methods, and governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI deployment.Ìý
By the end of this course, students should know how to answer questions like:
- How do you design and implement effective AI governance frameworks to ensure responsible and ethical AI adoption?
- How do you test AI models for fairness, bias, accuracy and precisions?
- How do you mitigate harms incurred and communicate after incidents occur?
- How do you train responsible AI champions?
Course Project
In this course, students will develop a governance plan for AI implementation based on an industry-based case study.
AI systems are complex and require robust planning to implement successfully. In this course, students will learn to formulate AI strategies that align with organizational goals, consider talent acquisition, follow change management best practices, and foster trust between AI systems and stakeholders.Ìý
By the end of this course, students should know how to answer questions like:
- How can AI support organizational value propositions?
- What people and skills should be on your AI team?
- How do you build AI literacy in your organization and dispel common AI myths?
- How do you organize AI efforts in your organization?
- How do you prioritize AI projects across business functions?
- How do you stay current on AI trends and build a learning organization?
Course Project
In this course, students will develop an organizational roadmap and experimentation plan that articulates their strategy for AI implementation.

To help make the financial commitment more manageable, we offer a limited number of scholarships and flexible monthly payment plans. Funding Information
All applications received by the priority deadline are eligible for a partial scholarship award; those received later may be eligible if funds are still available. You will be notified at the time of admission of any awards. Scholarships are applied by course and are non-transferrable between courses or semesters.
The majority of our students use tuition reimbursement benefits from their company. While some policies won't cover certificate programs, since this certificate is credit-bearing and a verifiable credential, many organizations will allow tuition benefits.
And remember, fall enrollment will maximize benefits since most are based on calendar year. Enroll in Fall 2026 and you will use both your 2026 and 2027 benefits to cover the program cost.Ìý
