CMU Web

A service provided by the University CMS Team

Welcome to Drupal

Build, Manage and Publish with Confidence

Master the Drupal Content Management System (CMS) to create and maintain official CMU websites that reflect the university’s brand, accessibility standards, and web best practices. Drupal gives you the power to craft flexible, dynamic digital experiences while keeping content structured and consistent across the CMU ecosystem.

A note to campus partners migrating to Drupal

Every site built in the university's internally managed Drupal environment must adhere to the approved and provided CMS styling and design system. Custom CSS and widgets will not be supported by the University CMS Team. This impacts the site's ability to receive bug fixes, new features and usability testing.

Why Use Drupal?

The Drupal CMS offers a powerful yet approachable way for web managers from across departments to build and maintain sites.

On-brand and Mobile Friendly

All sites adhere to CMU branding and responsive design standards while presenting an elevated design with plenty of interactive elements and photo-first storytelling.

Accessible by Default

Every template and design element provided is compliant with web accessibility guidelines.

Available & Supported

The Drupal CMS is currently available to academic units, administrative departments and groups that have a primarily external facing audience. The University CMS team provides ongoing support and resources to help you succeed.
